Human reproduction is a biological process through which humans produce offspring. It maintains continuity of the species and enables transmission of hereditary information from one generation to the next.

Male Reproductive System
Testis and Scrotum
Cryptorchidism refers to failure of the testes to descend into the scrotum. The condition may impair spermatogenesis and may lead to infertility.
Male Reproductive Duct System
The major sperm pathway can be remembered as:
- Vasa efferentia arise from the rete testis and open into the epididymis.
- The vas deferens loops over the urinary bladder and joins the duct of the seminal vesicle to form the ejaculatory duct.
- The ejaculatory duct opens into the urethra.
- In males, the urethra serves as a shared urino-genital passage.

Spermatogenesis

In numerical questions involving degeneration of spermatids, first determine the number of spermatids produced and then account for the fraction that degenerates.
