Preparation Phases

Phase-Wise Strategy

Structure your 12–18 months into focused phases. Each phase has a clear goal — follow this roadmap and you will never feel lost.

Phase 1 · Months 1–3 Foundation Building — NCERT First
Start and end with NCERT. Read every line, every diagram, every table. Build concepts from scratch. Do not jump to reference books without completing NCERT at least once per chapter. Focus on understanding, not memorising at this stage.
NCERT Class 11 & 12 Daily 6–8 hrs study Concept maps per chapter Short notes in own words
Phase 2 · Months 4–7 Deep Dive — Reference Books + PYQs
Once NCERT is done, layer in standard reference books for Biology (Trueman's) and Chemistry (N Avasthi, VK Jaiswal). Simultaneously, solve Previous Year Questions (2010–2024) chapter-wise. Identify patterns and frequently tested concepts.
Trueman's Biology Chapter-wise PYQ Error log maintenance Weak topic revisits
Phase 3 · Months 8–10 Revision + Mock Tests
Begin full-length mock tests every week, strictly simulating exam conditions. Analyse every mock deeply — do not jump to the next test without fixing errors. Revise NCERT for Biology twice and all high-weightage Chemistry chapters.
Weekly full mocks Error analysis 2nd NCERT revision Speed + accuracy
Phase 4 · Last 4–6 Weeks Final Lap — Consolidate & Peak
No new topics. Only revision and mock tests. Focus on Biology NCERT diagrams, inorganic chemistry reactions, and Physics formulae sheet. Sleep 7–8 hours. Eat well. Your brain needs recovery as much as study time at this stage.
Rapid revision notes NCERT diagrams drill Formula sheets Mental wellness
Best Resources

Books, Platforms & Coaching

Use the right resources — not every resource. Quality over quantity always wins in NEET preparation.

📘 Books · Biology

NCERT + Trueman's

NCERT Class 11 & 12 Biology is non-negotiable. Trueman's Objective Biology adds extra depth. Pradeep's for additional MCQ practice.

Mentorship

Why a Mentor
Changes Everything

Most NEET aspirants have the intelligence — but not the direction. A mentor doesn't just teach content; a mentor shows you where to look, what to skip, and how to think under pressure.

The right mentor can save you 6 months of wasted effort and guide you exactly where the exam is heading — based on PYQ patterns and NTA's question-setting behaviour.

🎯

Personalised Study Map

A mentor identifies your exact weak zones and creates a custom revision plan instead of a one-size-fits-all schedule.

🧠

Concept Clarity on Demand

Stuck on the inguinal canal or Krebs cycle? A Biology mentor explains in 10 minutes what a textbook takes 3 hours to convey.

📊

Mock Test Analysis

Mentors decode mock test errors — distinguishing careless mistakes from genuine concept gaps — so every test becomes a growth session.

💬

Motivation & Accountability

On low-motivation days, a mentor keeps you grounded, focused, and moving — because mindset is as important as intellect in NEET.

Golden Rules

Do's & Don'ts

These seemingly small habits determine the difference between a top ranker and a repeater year after year.

✅ Always Do This

  • Read NCERT Biology line by line — diagrams included
  • Maintain an error log from every mock test
  • Revise within 24 hours of learning a new topic
  • Solve at least 5 years of PYQs per chapter
  • Sleep 7–8 hours — memory consolidates during sleep
  • Use spaced repetition for difficult biology terms
  • Give mock tests in exam-like conditions
  • Join a study group for doubt discussion

❌ Never Do This

  • Skip NCERT for any shortcut material
  • Study too many books without completing one
  • Ignore negative marking — guess wisely or skip
  • Neglect weak subjects hoping to compensate
  • Study passively — always test yourself actively
  • Compare progress with peers obsessively
  • Take no breaks — burnout kills preparation
  • Leave Biology diagrams unrevised before exam
